Miguel Ribeiro Teixeira is a pianist and composer, graduated by Giuseppe Verdi Conservatory of Milan with under-graduation at Rio Grande do Sul’s Federal University (Brazil). His repertoire

ranges from traditional repertoire to own compositions. Has been presenting himself in Brazil and in Europe in piano recitals, chamber music and conducting.

BIOGRAPHY

Beginning of piano studies under orientation of the pianist Vaniza Piffero Füller. In 2008, moved to Italy and enrolled as a student of the Conservatorio di Musica G. Paisiello under the orientation of the pianist Paola di Somma. In 2009, awarded the second place of the category in VII National Piano Competition Prof. Ednah Bassetti Habith. In 2011, first place in the UFRGS (Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul, considered the best Music Faculty of the country by the Brazilian Education Ministry) Music application exams, where began his period of studies under the orientation of the pianist and professor Ney Fialkow. On July 2013, participation in the IV International Music Festival nos Pampas in the city of Bagé, Brazil, receiving orientation of the pianist Guigla Katsarava, professor at the École Normale de Musique de Paris. On January 2014, participation in the XV International Festival of Music nas Montanhas in Brazil – and one of the two piano scholarship winners. On this Music Festival, received orientation of Flávio Augusto (Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro), Gilberto Tinetti (Universidade de São Paulo) and Guigla Katsarava (École Normale de Musique de Paris). On August 2016, participation in the XXI International Music Academy Musicalta in France, receiving orientation of the pianist Amy Lin, professor at Conservatoire de Strasbourg. On July 2017, participation in the Académie Internacionale d'Eté du Grand Nancy. Received his graduation degree on piano at Giuseppe Verdi Conservatory of Music of Milan under orientation of the pianist Mario Borciani and of the composer Marco Tutino on the composition courses of that conservatory.
